He was the 23rd president of the United States.
Term: 1889 - 1893.
He was Republican.
He signed the Sherman Anti-trust Act of 1890 into a law.
He supported bills that promoted voting rights of African Americans in the south, and appointed Frederick
Douglass as an ambassador to Haiti.
Harrison's grandfather was President William Henry Harrison.
