Presidents From 1930 to 1960
1. President Franklin D. Roosevelt (1933-1945).
2. President Harry S. Truman (1945-1953).
3. President Dwight D. Eisenhower (1953-1961).
The era from 1930 to 1960 was an era of falling then flourishing. Also, presidents fixed some mistakes from last eras. During the 1920s, the economic was good, until the great depression happened in 1929. This was when the stock market crashed and people lost their money, which they put in banks. So many banks were closed and the economy was down. People tried to stand again and rebuild their country and economy. Also, president Roosevelt tried to fix some issues like giving people acres of land to farm or build on them. He ending the monopolies, which made some people very rich and others very poor.
Following the events until starting the second world war. This war had an effect on the United States. It made the USA and the Soviet Union, the most powerful and strongest. Also, the war brought the mobilization again.
On 1945, president Roosevelt died, which was the year that Germany surrendered.
In 1947, another war began and it was called "The cold war." At this time, the communism started to appear, so that led to the passing the "Truman Doctrine", which included that the USA would stand next to the countries if they fight against communism. In order to fight communism, the USA helped Greece and Turkey economically. Communism was not stopped, and it took a strong action as it controlled China.
Following the events until the "Korean War" began. This war made a huge change in the geography of the world, as Korea was split into North and South Korea.
This is the ending of the term of Truman, who left the presidency to president Eisenhower. The 1950s had many good changes and accomplishments. The civil rights act was passed. NASA agency occurred. People starting having big and good houses. Women returned to the traditional roles and focused on the domestic work. Economy rose. American starting to accomplish the American dream.
