1. Strengthened the Interstate Commerce Commission and its ability to negotiate rates with
railroads.
2. Passed the Sixteenth Amendment which gave the government the right to income tax.
3. Promoted "Dollar Diplomacy.
Taft is the only President who became a Supreme Court Justice.
President Woodrow Wilson:
Term: (1913–1921).
He was the 30th president of the United States.
He was Democratic.
Some of his accomplishments were:
1. He passed the federal reserve act.
2. Became a major advocate for women's suffrage.
3. Led the US into WWI .
4. Passed the Espionage Act and Sedition Act.
5. the League of Nations following WWI.
6. The "Fourteen Points".
Wilson was the first President to hold a news conference.
